A Janesville sign company may be regretting its decision on where to place a billboard touting the job creation efforts of Governor Scott Walker. The sign was briefly put up in front of the shuttered General Motors plant in Janesville this week, but was taken down quickly after groups started pointing out the unfortunate placement.

The GM plant closed in 2009, resulting in thousands of lost jobs in the Janesville area. The plant was shut down before Walker was elected governor.

The “Governor Scott Walker – Creating Jobs for Wisconsin” billboard was put up as part of a pro-Walker ad campaign being run by Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce. The group paid for a series of signs in Rock County, but was not involved in their placement.

The billboard company that owns the space selected the location. An official with the company confirmed the sign was removed less than 24 hours after pictures started circulating on social networking websites.

Governor Scott Walker has shown time and again his utter disregard for the opinions and real life concerns of Wisconsin citizens and has torn our state apart with his unethical agendas and legislation that his administration has forced on the state. Not only was this billboard placement completely false as well as utterly inappropriate, the actual facts regarding Walker and jobs in the state do not bode well for Wisconsin residents. Since Scott Walker has taken office the state of Wisconsin has lost more than 39,000 jobs and this number continues to increase making the state of Wisconsin the worst state in the country for job creation. It seems that Scott Walker has placed far more importance on sending jobs out of the state than he has in bringing them into the state as evidenced by the new contract he has established with a California based company which will be producing all state drivers licenses which has added greater expense and renewal delays for taxpayers and drivers throughout the state.

Couple all of this with his administrations attacks on public education, unions and virtually everything working Wisconsin families rely on including health care and it becomes very easy to see why so many in the state want him out of office and the sooner the better! Governor Scott Walker and his administration are the epitome of crony capitalism and everything that is and has been wrong with the GOP for several years now and they continue in their downward spiral fueled by the greed of corporate masters like that of the Koch brothers. We now wait with baited breath for the recall petitions final tally in Wisconsin residents move to oust Scott Walker in a recall election which many hope will not be further delayed by the legal meandering so that once again Wisconsin can continue moving progressively forward to the benefit of all its residents.
